Okay, so I'm here at the Logan Hyperdome, and it's pretty massive! Apparently, it's the biggest shopping center in Logan City and one of the largest single-story ones in Australia. You've got everything here – a police beat shopfront, which is neat, and the Logan City Council even has a library in a separate building at the far northern end. There's a big food court, an Event Cinemas complex, and even an Australia Post office inside.

This place has quite a history, too. It opened in August 1989, built on the site of the old Wild Waters water park. It started with 144 retailers! It's changed hands a few times, initially sold by Bob Ell to John Longhurst in 1990, and then Queensland Investment Corporation eventually took full ownership. There have been a bunch of upgrades over the years, like in 1997 when they added Big W and about 50 other stores, and then in 2005, they expanded the cinema and added a bowling alley. The most recent big one was in 2015, which created "The Market Room" with fresh food and restaurants. Oh, and there's a separate Hyperdome Home Centre too. It’s also a major transport hub with a bus station and taxi rank.
