This casino, also known as The Treasury, closed on August 25, 2024. It was run by Star Entertainment Group, and it had a hotel, six restaurants, five bars, and a nightclub. One percent of its gross gaming revenue went to the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund, which supported non-profit community groups and was administered by the Government of Queensland.
The casino and hotel were in two heritage-listed buildings: the Treasury Building and the Lands Administration Building, separated by Queens Gardens. There's a 700-vehicle car park under the park. The Treasury Building, which housed the casino, was an early 19th-century building with Edwardian-Baroque designs, sandstone walls, and a six-story atrium. It had three levels of gaming with 80 tables and over 1,300 machines, opening as the Treasury Casino in April 1995 after refurbishment. The hotel was in the former Lands Administration Building. There were also function rooms, some with early 19th-century decor and others as modern meeting rooms.
They offered games like Blackjack, Treasury 21, mini Baccarat, Treasury Wheel, Caribbean Stud Poker, Roulette, Craps, 3-Card Poker, Sic Bo, and Slot Machines. There was also a poker room with Texas hold'em, Omaha cash games, and tournaments. A new Star Casino opened in 2024 as part of the Queen's Wharf development.
